The customer wanted a furnace installation quote. There's a lot going on here. The AC coil and AC condenser is way to big for the furnace which means the air flow is incorrect and the system efficiency will be very low during the cooling season. The furnace is actually sitting on the floor which is against code. Unfortunately the customer only wanted a furnace installation, so we had to withdraw ourselves from the process.
Another Furnace Installation quote in Spartanburg SC. This is an installation done by the local Chuck in a Truck special. Unit is sitting on a dirt floor, duct insulation falling off, duct sitting on the ground getting wet. Just an overall horrible job. Sad part is it will cost a bit more to get this one completely ripped out-everything-and installed correctly so it will provide years of comfort to the homeowner. Not keeping my fingers crossed on this one though due to the pricing constraints.
Nate Ventura, AC Detective. Out quoting again today near Nazareth church rd! I wish it weren’t so rainy over here and in boiling springs, but oh well! The customer is looking at a new heat pump because the old one couldn’t keep up in our hot summers! Please enjoy the picture as well, it won’t happen much!
Rodent removal in downtown Spartanburg! This AC repair in Spartanburg was due to a rodent getting stuck in the air conditioner! One non-Viking funeral later we have a good sounding air movement device!
System AC down. Found low voltage shorting to ground. Quick repair, another one in the books for Spartanburg!
Inspecting home for new buyer. Goodman heat pump split system. Notice how the duct work has been installed. Those flex line are crimped restricting air flow. This unit has some serious issues with air flow cause the compressor to chatter while running.
Over in Converse heights and just finished installing two brand new 2 ton air conditioner and gas furnaces! This customer had an issue with his landscaping company piling the mulch too high and clogging the bottom of the condenser fins. AdvantAir says no worries, we actually used risers that were made for snow, but for us it’s for mulch!
Still at converse heights in Spartanburg checking another basement for flooding. Luck this time. No damage to the home or equipment.
Still going through downtown. It’s incredibly bad for all of the furnaces and heat pumps we have seen in basements. This is one of those basements. Just over my shoulder you can see how high up it has flooded by the doorway. Thankfully no one is hurt. Spartanburg on the converse side is hurting right now, so send prayers.
We are in the process of picking up the pieces after those tornadoes yesterday. Today we looked at a furnace which sadly nothing can be done for at the moment as it’s under a foot of water! However, we noticed a natural gas smell and immediately homed in on the meter. Informed our customer to call the gas company because you DO NOT play around with natural gas!
